Life gets very busy. School, work, church, family, and the list can go on and on. It can also very easily turn into a mundane routine of going through the cycle of life. Before you know, what once was a driving force for you; something that you were truly passionate about can all of sudden seem not so extraordinary anymore and can sometimes wear you down. As human beings we are natural complainers, as woman we are complex complainers. We tend to carry a lot of needs and demands. We are a needy creature. While some show it quite obviously, others can be quiet and subtle about it but nevertheless, it has been a fact that woman are needy creatures. It's the way God made us. We were made to be taken care of, handled in a fragile way. We can complain about the smallest to the biggest situation. One thing about women is that once we have something, we hold onto it. It takes years for us to let something go. That's why so many of us still have issues 'hidden in our closets' from past friendships and relationships that we can't let go of. We like to keep things locked up. However, have you ever stopped to reflect and seriously look at how exhausting complaining can be? Think about it... with the amount of time and energy that we can put into coming up with a complaint, then processing that complaint, making sure everyone knows about our complaint, and making sure that something is done about it ... it can get very exhausting! We end up living our life with our heart constantly looking back as what should of been and what could of been instead of living in the present moment. Looking at where we are now and what we are now. We create this web of self pity and try our hardest to trap those around us in this web to create our own pity party. I don't believe that God gave us this life to live it with exhaustion. He gave us this life to live it abundantly. "...I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly". God's will for His children is to live in peace and happiness. With this, I am not saying that our life will be perfect. No life will be perfect and many times God will use trials to build up our character and test our faith. However, how you react to any situation will show what type of person you have become. It is so important to learn to be thankful in the place that God has you in. The season that you are in at this moment may not be what you have in mind but it is where God has placed you. Learning to be content in that season is important. Too many times we focus on the negative of our situation; what we don't have, what we should have but we forget to be grateful for what God has done and see the bigger picture. I challenge you during this holiday, to step back and examine where you are at. You may not be where you pictured yourself in this time but instead of grabbing the negative, grab the positive and hold onto it and make the very best of what you have been given. Have  a GRATEFUL heart unto God and He will honor that gratefulness. Hope you all have a very Happy Thanksgiving!
